So much to reflect on since the last November entry. The first WineSpirit Quarterly Sunday afternoon was amazing with Burke Owens helping us enjoy an old school holiday party in blending fine wine, terrific taste treats, joyous catching up with associates and friends amidst an ambience of soaking all of that in, and through Burke's sharing, to bring us all to an intimate appreciation for blessings in our lives, a wonderful entry point into the brunt of the holiday season.
Meanwhile Sippin' continues to enjoy accolades from those who have seen it and read it. Each reviewer has praised Sippin' from different perspectives through their focus on particular Sips. What inspires me most about the reviews, and also true of the 11 reviews on Amazon, is that their words add insights and perspective to the material on which they are commenting, each their own Sips, if you will. And that is very exciting because that is one of the intents of Sippin': to inspire you to tap into your own insights and see them in new light and express them in your comments on the book and in conversation.
Principle 7 of the Ten Principles of WineSpirit reads:
"Dedication to Building Strong & Healthy Relationships: The context for integrating the study of wine and spirituality is in promoting healthy Attitudes, effective usage of Time, growth in Power through sharing resources, infusing your Routine with meaningful ritual, and harnessing the most underutilized of resources, People. What contexts do you have for building and maintaining healthy relationships?"
It alludes to a program I have developed called the Five Trails. Just as each wine is different, just as each person is different, the Five Trails acknowledge 5 different styles or orientations you have, or do not have, that accentuate and even explain how you are different and unique. Now underway is a 6 session program, meeting twice monthly, over wine and cheese, in Napa: Walking the Five Trails. I am doing this program in other locations, as well, providing bagels, cream cheese and lox in the morning in San Francisco, Vallejo, and postponed to late March, in Marin.
How exciting that WineSpirit's Sondra Barrett's book Wine's Hidden Beauty is now available through her: www.sondrabarrett.com What a wonderful book!
Yesterday was our second quarterly Sunday afternoon at our WineSpirit Vineyard home, and it was wonderful, blessed by Tim Hanni with food delicacies accentuating his marvelous balancing of food, i.e. Toasted Almonds, seasoned with Vignon(TM) topping brie, whetting our appetites for a wonderful presentation on Sensory Perception, as pertains to tastes and illusions, that we each taste and experience wine and life uniquely...miracles of spirituality, in appreciating nuances of details easily overlooked and conducive to missimpressions of what we think/sense is real. Seek Tim out for his power point presentation and do partake in his tasting survey; you can click on the link here:
I am delighted WineSpirit will be joining in co-sponsorship with Beringer Winery for an all day celebration of Wine and Wellness, including Yoga and Wine, Drummers, as well as a presentation of a Sip from Sippin' on Top of the World with me, on Sunday, April 25, with details to follow.
So that scratches the surface in catching up as we continue to move forward and grow WineSpirit and our various relationships. Cheers!...Salud!,,,L'Chaim!
