4-20-09 I am delighted to reach this moment as WineSpirit emerges out of dormancy, a lengthy process involving the editing of Sips of WineSpirit in creating Sippin' on Top of the World, available as of May 10, 2009.· Each Sip is a moment's pause or an hour's conversation...or both.· You decide.· I will look forward to your feedback.· While the book has been two years in the shaping, even after working with material generated years earlier, it feels right for Sippin' to come to light in the times we are in ... challenging us to think differently and do things differently as we turn things around in our society.· The most valuable resources we have are also the most underutilized...people.· The more we can build trust, the more resources we can have in fixing up what we can in our lives and beyond.

David White is co-founder and executive director of WineSpirit Institute for the Study of Wine and Spirituality. He is dedicated to bringing WineSpirit principles, connecting wine and spirituality with community building, into daily life. Toward that end, he has crafted 150 of more than 170 Sips of WineSpirit - brief writings accentuating wine's contribution to vibrancy and meaning in everyday contexts, and the material upon which the book "Sippin' on Top of the World" is based.

WineSpirit has filmed some 15 Elders and Sages of the wine world in exploring wine's influence on their attitudes about life: lessons they learned in the Vineyard. Four have been edited so far, thanks to a grant from the President's Fund of the Gasser Foundation. Jan Shrem, Robert Mondavi, Jamie Davies and Al Brounstein are now available in appreciation for suggested donations of $15 for a DVD. Each is just under an hour in length, not including outtakes, fascinating added material. Footage includes views of the winery and in some cases follow-up interviews.
