Sip #166 How Does a Parabola Shaped Glass Focus Your Enjoyment of Wine?

This is really weird, but have you thought of the fact that the best of wine glasses are forms of parabolas?  This is interesting when you look at the characteristics of parabolas as being able to reflect rays of light (or energy) to a common focus no matter where in the parabola the light first strikes.

I think that as we look into the glass of wine - sense the wine's aromas etc, something figurative and literal happens as we muse and capture the essence of the wine.

Also, maybe just perhaps, as we let the wine's magic emerge, and as we project our own spiritual awareness into the wine in synergy, the geometry of the glass actually facilitates the interaction.  Aromas are bounced around and up to our nose, and our own spirit (if not Spirit) gets bounced around and focused too.  As we look in the glass we see a reflection of light, sense reflections of all that made the wine possible, and ...see our own reflection brought into focus ...all because of the inherent geometry of the parabola.

If you do some on line research on the parabola, all sorts of stuff emerge as to its history, Pythagoras and his philosophy of life etc....

What would/could you add to this Sip on the meaning or significance of enjoying wine from a parabola-shaped glass?

How might consciousness of the shape of a glass apply in other settings in your day, and with what possible impact?

What factors or aids help you to focus better?
